"Back in the Game" is the stage reunion of four musicians following their common hardships, between stress and harassment. Beyond those grim omens lies a bucolic invitation to love and journey. The eponymous track's lyrics tell a tale of fiery youth spent on the road, coffee and euphoria shared on the front row of a Clio. This faithful steed, reminiscent of the "Bateau Ivre", charged from Lunéville to Bretten, and from Strasbourg to the South-West of France.

"Heaven of our dreams", on the other hand, was born during an introspection, deep inside the south of the country.

Nevertheless, the peak of this release is undeniably "Love at first listening" : a poetic declaration of love written in the middle of Charente's dandelions. The composition bears jazz harmonies before moving to Led Zeppelin-esque climax, without ever straying from Rory Gallagher's genuineness and energy.
